Georgia Tech Parents Program is providing parents a free download of all important dates and activities on campus. This electronic calendar will be updated periodically with timely information, so please check this site at least once a month to ensure you have the most up to date information.

To begin, you will need to right click on the following link to download the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines file (.ics) to your desktop. For Firefox Web browser applications, right click on the link and select "Save Link As" to save to your desktop. For all other Web browser applications, right click on the link and select "Save Target As" to save to your desktop. Then follow the instructions below for your specific electronic calendar application. If your specific electronic calendar application is not listed, utilize the help function within your electronic calendar to find instructions on how to import a file into your electronic calendar.

Use the following instructions for your specific e-mail application to import the "GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines" file into your calendar.

Google Calendar (Cross-Platform)
1. Sign in to your Google Calendar.
2. On your calendar home page, in the My Calendars area, click the Add drop-down list, then Import Calendar. The Add Other Calendar screen will open.
3. On the Add Other Calendar screen, in the Step 1: Select File field, click Browse.... The File Upload window will open.
4. In the File Upload window, locate and select the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines document file (.ics) you downloaded from www.parents.gatech.edu, then click Open. You will return to the Add Other Calendar screen.
5. On the Add Other Calendar screen:
From the Step 2: Choose Calendar drop-down list, select the calendar where you would like your GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines to appear.
Under Step 3: Complete Import, click Import. Google will confirm whether the import was successful or not.
Click Back to Calendar to return to your calendar home page.

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (Windows)
1. Open Outlook and go to File > Import and Export.... The Import and Export wizard window will open.
2. In the Import and Export Wizard window, select the radio button next to Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs) and click Next. A Browse window will open.
3. In the Browse window, locate and select the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines document file (.ics) you downloaded from www.parents.gatech.edu and click OK. A Microsoft Office Outlook window will open.
4. On the Microsoft Office Outlook window, click Import. Your will return to Outlook and the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines will appear listed at the appropriate dates and times.

Mozilla Sunbird (Cross-Platform)
Sunbird is a calendar tool provided free of charge by Mozilla. Instructions on how to download, install, and use Sunbird, are available on the Mozilla Sunbird Project page: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird/.
1. Open Sunbird and go to File > Import. An Open window will open.
2. In the Open window, locate and select the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines document file (.ics) you downloaded from www.parents.gatech.edu and click Open.
3. You will return to Sunbird and the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines will appear listed at the appropriate dates and times.

Mozilla Thunderbird with Lightning (Cross-Platform)
Lightning is a free calendar extension that works with the Mozilla Thunderbird email client. Note: You will have to download and install Mozilla Thunderbird before you can use Lightning.
1. Install the Lightning extension. Instructions on how to download, install, and use Lightning, are available on the Lightning Project page: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/ .
2. Open Thunderbird and go to Calendar > Import.... An Open window will open.
3. In the Open window, locate and select the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines document file (.ics) you downloaded from www.parents.gatech.edu and click Open.
4. You will return to Thunderbird and the GT Parents Calendar Dates and Deadlines will appear listed at the appropriate dates and times.
